About Susan

For more than 20 years, Susan Leahy has inspired leaders across North America through Robert’s Rules Made Simple, transforming boardrooms with her dynamic, practical, and energizing coaching. Offstage, she’s built a fun, healthy, and loving marriage of over 20 years while raising two children—living proof that confidence is the foundation for both professional success and personal happiness.

In April 2025, I hit a milestone. I turned 50 years old.

And with that birthday came a realization: I’ve been the woman behind Robert’s Rules Made Simple for more than 20 years.

Two decades of training thousands of boards. Two decades of working with hundreds of meeting chairs to help them walk into their meetings with more confidence and competence. Two decades of showing leaders how Robert’s Rules can be a tool—not for stress or conflict—but for healthier, more productive meeting dynamics.

But that wasn’t the only milestone.

2025 also marks 20 years of marriage. Not just any marriage—one that is happy, fulfilled, playful, and productive. A marriage where love isn’t static, it’s created daily. A partnership that is built on joy, fun, and the kind of commitment that keeps life exciting.

Always being in creation, my husband and I made a bold move 10 years ago. We packed up, left Los Angeles, and relocated our family to Playa del Carmen, Mexico. From this tropical paradise, we’ve built and run a thriving online training and coaching business, while building a life filled with adventure and purpose.

Our children are thriving—fluent in both Spanish and English—and life feels good.

I bring a powerful, inspiring perspective that helps my clients transform the way they think, feel, and lead—so they can up level not just their careers, but their homes, their relationships, and their lives.
